A heritage still being built.
A century ago, Baku was built by oil barons. Today the city is still building, and still surprising. In the early twentieth century, Baku was known by its façades. In the twenty-first, it is known by its silhouette: new architectural forms and bold engineering have redrawn the city’s line above the Caspian.
Baku Contemporary is the second part of the I’m Honey architectural collection. Baku Heritage keeps the memory of the oil-boom city. This box is about the Baku that continues its architectural story and is already creating the heritage of the future.
The collection was conceived in December 2025, when Azerbaijan declared 2026 the Year of Urban Planning and Architecture. The two boxes were developed as a single whole. That meant six months of research, a careful selection of buildings and images, Italian design paper and demanding print work. The aim was not to decorate a box with views of the city, but to make an object worthy of the architecture it honours.
Inside, the honey of Azerbaijan. Outside, its capital in the twenty-first century.
The boxes can be given on their own, or as a pair when you want to show the whole city, from the oil boom to the present day. It is a gift for those who know Baku, and for those you would like to introduce to it.
